It’s April in New Hampshire, and every day Mother Nature has a new surprise for us. First it was little purple and yellow crocuses peeking through the snow. Those hardy little flowers may have disappeared for a day or two last week under a blanket of April snow, but they’re back again along with a lovely little daffodil here and there and buds on the lilac bushes. Oh how happy we all are to see that spring has arrived.
That’s not the only thing we’re happy about these days. We’re delighted to announce that Keepsake Quilting has gone back to its roots as a family-owned business. It happened on April 19th when the Kimelman family of North Carolina bought the company. The family, which has been in the textile business for four generations, is committed to making customer service our number-one priority.
The quilt shop, as well as the offices, will remain in Center Harbor, New Hampshire, but shoppers are definitely going to see changes. The shop will have lots of fabric, of course, but now, as it had been in the past, all the nooks and crannies will be filled with charming vignettes, gifts items and New Hampshire-made products specially chosen for quilters, non-quilters and tourists visiting the area.
Yes, springtime is nature’s time of renewal, and Keepsake Quilting is enjoying a renewal of its own.
