      Cheryl,

Many older sewing machines have what is called a darning foot. These work great for free-motion quilting, if you can drop the feed dogs on your machine. You may be able to find one of these at your LQS if your machine does not have one. If you cannot drop your feed dogs, then just keep those curves as gentle as possible. Lots of pinning or basting should also help.
Congratulations for quilting a queen-size quilt on a regular sewing machine, that can be very tricky! We hope these tips help you finish.
