Employee Spotlight – Karrie

Karrie is a Data Processor here at Keepsake Quilting; she processes your orders and makes sure that you receive your Block of the Month and Medley of the Month orders. She’s been with us for 5 years, and her favorite part of the job is that she’s “never doing the same thing” each day.

She’s originally from Florida. When she’s not working here she likes to walk her dog Fisher (he modeled a sweater for us as a pup), make beautiful quilts and do some knitting. She likes reading books on her Kindle and gardening when the weather gets warmer.

I have never left a message on a blog before, and I don’t know if I’m doing it right, but I want to tell you my story. I’m 71 years of age and last winter had a very terrible infection which I thought would take my life. In the middle of this illness, Keepsake sent me a catalog which included the Roses Medley. I nearly fell out of the bed I fell so in love with it. But the nagging thought kept coming that I was not going to get better, so I should not order it (to make a quilt for myself). My husband, to encourage me to heal told me to order it anyway…I’m sure he was hoping it would give me hope. Anyway, the thought kep coming to my mind that I dearly wanted a quilt made of these lovely patterns. So I, now having some encouragement of things getting much better, tried to order those fabrics from Keepsake. They are available except for the split border yardage. Are these fabrics still available from you in quantities larger than fat quarters??? If so, please let me know ASAP. Hopefully, Karen Freeman
